Olivia's Bat Mitzvah Pre Shoot | Worth Ave Lifestyle Mitzvah Photographer

The passage of time is rarely more apparent then when I am gifted with the opportunity of photographing a mitzvah family a second time for a teen who was a child only years before. I absolutely love the transition from boy to man or girl to woman marked by the Bar / Bat Mitzvah, and it is such a blessing to be able to freeze this moment in time for so many families. This Bat Mitzvah girl has a gorgeous smile, but my favorite photos from this session are those un-posed moments, where I kept clicking past the pose, and captured some incredible natural expressions. Mazal Tov on your upcoming Bat Mitzvah, Olivia!

Leslie and Family | Extended Family Lifestyle Photography

This family quarantined and road tripped so they could spend some time together at mom and dad’s home in Florida over the winter holiday. I love that they chose an extended family photo session to document their time together. I know covid has made me appreciate family time more, and I love that they’ll have these images to remember some maskless moments.

Ellie's Glee Themed Bat Mitzvah Pre Shoot | South Florida Lifsetyle Photographer

This pre shoot was FUN y’all! Ellie is planning to celebrate with a Glee themed mitzvah. Mom did an amazing job styling the family in coordinating, but not matchy matchy outfits, and the ladies looked UH-MAY-ZING with their hair and make-up. Looks aside, this family is so full of love and fun and good spirits, and all that light shines through in this gallery. I know mitzvahs look different in the time of covid, but it brings me so much joy to see families celebrating with as much gusto as they can, and to see this tradition continue regardless of challenging circumstances. The bleachers and field made a perfect backdrop for this theme, and I can’t wait to celebrate with this family on their special day!

Tanya, Spencer, Wyatt, and McKenna | Design District Lifestyle Family Photography

I love getting to explore new places, and I love how much this family loves to explore. They moved here from Chicago about a year ago, when they found me on Instagram and we met for the first time. I’ve really enjoyed keeping up with them and all of their local adventures on Facebook and Instagram, even seeing how they’re managing to keep their love and joy and adventure and exploring going through the pandemic. This year, mom suggested shooting with the Design District in Miami as a backdrop, and of course I was game. They were up for more fun, and I love how that feeling jumps out of the photos in their gallery.

I also love when clients become friends. I call them ‘frients’. I was drawn to Tanya’s sense of adventure immediately, and we’ve been talking about getting together for some time. It finally happened the day after their photo shoot, when she and a friend joined me and a friend for some paddleboarding! Let’s not wait another year to get together again!
